Educational Requirements: Candidates must have retired from any reputed Power Generation Company as Director (O&M/Projects) having Engineering Degree with specialization / wide (15-20 yrs) experience in Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Power Generation Stations (Thermal)

Duties and responsibilities: 1) He shall be responsible for technical evaluation of actual key performance parameters of all the operating TPS and
 Suggest specific measures for improvement to achieve desired levels of performance.
 Interact as may be required with all concerned (including consultants) at H.O. and field officers to collect information, study problems and obtain suggestion. Touring will be done with intimation to the Managing Director(MSGPCL).
 Attend ORM and other important meetings as directed by the Managing Director(MSGPCL)
2) He shall advise the Managing Director with regard to technical matters concerning projects under implementation and planned projects referred to him and attend meetings organized for this purpose.
3) Besides the above, he shall assist in bringing up the Quality Management & Quality Assurance Organization with MSPGCL and oversee its functioning until it is fully stabilized.
4) He shall advise Managing Director on identification & selection of New Projects replacements R & M etc.
5) He shall advise Managing Director on adoption of new technologies, best practices in O&M and project management, including Manpower utility and use of Information Technology.
6) He shall advise Managing Director on implementation of recommendations of various consultants/experts (NTPS, CPRI etc.)
